It’s a legal 72 hour psychiatric hold that one is placed by a mental health professional, or law enforcement officers due to one being a danger to self, others, or being gravely disabled (unable to care for one’s self). During that hold, one is to be evaluated by his or her psychiatrist to determine whether or not further care is needed beyond that hold. Most 5150 patients are admitted from Emergency Rooms (from cutting, self harm, suicidal ideation/attempt) and sent to psychiatric behavioral facilities.

The Zung Depression Scale is a depression screening test that is administered and evaluated by one’s self.
This test has been proven to be a tool valuable in assessing the signs and symptoms associated in mood disorders such as depression.
The main purpose of the test is to assess the severity of one’s depression and its psychological, physical, and emotional effects.
The Zung Depression Scale includes a self rating questionnaire in which you rate the described symptom based on the frequency it is felt.
Makes me sad seeing people sad…If only everyone could just be happy right? Yea right… :(
